The Greatest Poem Ever Written (Part 2)

I have a good friend who wrote me a birthday poem a year ago, so here I am returning the favor. Happy (now slightly belated) birthday The Ranting SBox! Here’s to more years of friendship, nerdy conversations, and bad poetry. Roses are red, Violets are blue, I’ll start this one off The same way […]

Hey, look guys! My first ever reblog post. (You’d think after blogging for almost 4 years I would’ve done something like this sooner, but I digress).

I think a little backstory is in order for this. A little under a year ago, I wrote a post called “The Greatest Poem Ever Written“. Not only was the poem the greatest that ever was or ever will be, and not only am I the an auteur of the highest caliber, (and not only are either of those things I just said complete lies in order to save face), the poem also doubled as a birthday gift for someone I know in real life: Gabrielle Gillispie.

Not only is she a good friend of mine, but she’s also a really talented lifestyle blogger who writes among many other things poetry. She’s actually been at it for years now, but she recently rebranded her blog into Live3One, a community-driven blog with an emphasis on empowering women through religious discussion, poetry, photography, and occasional Disney gushing. I highly encourage you to check her out, because I think what she’s doing is amazing and I want to see her idea grow even more.

Anyway, today she surprised me with this work of art which is now one of my favorite things in the history of anything ever. Gabby, I can’t thank you enough for this amazing gift that just made my day. This was beyond thoughtful of you and the cherry on top of a perfect birthday. Plus, unlike my poem, yours is actually good, so kudos for that!

I really hope this post isn’t really sloppy, because even though I’m not hungover per say, I’m a bit dumb at the moment from last night’s events. All well! Next time I see you I’ll gush about this some more, this time using all my brain cells instead of just two. (Granted, some would say two brain cells is a personal best for me so…)

I hope you guys check out Live3One and that you guys enjoy her poem as much as I do. Now if you excuse me I’m gonna go read this poem 15 million more times… by tomorrow.

I’m SBox180. Thanks for reading!

  1. I’m so glad you liked it! How did reading it 15 millions times in one day pan out for you? I know you’re smart, but you might be some sort of super human genius if you managed to achieve that goal. Here’s to friendship and shitty poems! Thanks for the promo too, because you totally didn’t have to do that. Hope 21 is treating you well so far. 😀

    1. Well it wasn’t easy, but using my apparent higher intellect, I was able to accomplish such feats! Lol. It’s no trouble at all. The least I could do for such a thoughtful present. 🙂
