Weekly Update (11/4/14): Speeding Up a Bit, Halloween, and Whatnot

image

Greetings peeps!

It’s been a while, but I am still alive and here to give you all an update. Sorry for the lateness, though. How are you all? I’m doing well myself. This week was extremely busy for me, but I did have some fun while I was at it. My Halloween was certainly a fun one. As you can see, I was Sub-Zero this year.

I’d be lying if I said this was the greatest costume ever, but it served its purpose. I meant to post a little review of the costume this week. Unfortunately, I was preoccupied. I will run it down quickly here though.

The costume I got was a jumpsuit made of linen, a few plush armor pieces, and a rubber mask. The jumpsuit is this costume’s best feature though mine was slightly (I stress slightly) torn when arriving in the mail. The armor pieces are standard for the most part, but have some problems with the paint job, the size, and the build. These come with Velcro strings which may or not break on you immediately (one of the forearm pieces did for me). On top of that they were made for people with much bigger arms than I do. Adjustments would’ve been nice so I wouldn’t have had to staple them so they could fit. A lot of people often condemn the mask. I’ll admit that I would’ve preferred a linen overhead mask over the rubber face mask with a strap, but other than being difficult to breathe in it wasn’t that bad. Just don’t go on thinking you’ll have the perfect mask.

If I was grading this, I’d give it a 3 out of 5. I personally wore it without the mask most of the time. I also decided against the forearm armor since one of them broke. It’s a standard costume, but don’t go in thinking you’re getting the highest quality possible.

Halloween was the most eventful part of my week. I applied to my colleges on time, and it is starting to get cold in Florida for a change. Solid week. But let’s talk blog news.

I’ll make this quick. If you want to know what I have planned, check out my last update. What this is going to mainly be is the status of the blog for the upcoming weeks.

Okay! So last week was pretty busy week just like the week before. Unfortunately, not a lot of it was spent on that paper. It is currently halfway done and due next Friday along with a PowerPoint, poster and poem/song describing that era. I’m predicting that considering the need for production of the PowerPoint should take focus next week that the paper should realistically be done be weekend’s end. The PowerPoint won’t be much trouble for me, and the poster can be made in part with members of my family.

Now I told you guys last week that I had another project that took me off guard. Last Sunday’s update was on the heels of what I predicted to be the most stressful day ever. Once I walked into class Monday the teacher brought some relief to me because this project is so not difficult. All I have to do is research my desired career and make a Photostory of it along with interviewing a person from that field. There is a paper to do, but that’s not due till later that week. The Photostory and interview are due Monday while the essay is due next Thursday.

The toughest part is the interview, but I might be able to make it happen. If anyone here knows a software developer/engineer who wouldn’t mind answering a high school student’s questions for about 10 minutes, please let me know.

What does this all mean? Well it means that content will still be seldom until next weekend. The only reason I was able to get this update up was because I had election day off from school; and that’s still time away from my schoolwork. However, if I can succeed in getting this first paper done by Sunday (which will be my next update), then I might be able to get things rolling here again. However, I promise you guys that there will be content coming after November 14 for sure.

I have several drafts about snowmen, burgers, selfies, and more coming your way once stuff clears up. I thank you all for your understanding the past week and apologize for the inconvenience. Believe me when I tell you it pains me to not be active on my own blog. However it won;t be long now.

Until then, thank you for your patience and for reading this post. Like I said, regular content will start coming out in about a week. Please stay tuned because there’s a massive party with booze when I get back to business as usual.

I’m SBox180. Thanks for reading!

Weekly Update (10/26/14): Slowing Down, Another Milestone, and Whatnot

Greetings peeps! Welcome back to the weekly update, where I ramble about the life of me and of the blog.

Another fine Sunday it is today. Hopefully you’ve all had a great week. This week was homecoming week for me. With homecoming week comes the character themed days at school, the fancy decorations, and the pep rally. It was a lot of fun seeing a whole bunch of Nickelodeon stuff the whole week. I participated in Fairly OddParents day as Chester and the pep rally day by wearing my senior class color from head to toe.

I also applied to my colleges (finally). Just have to send the documentation and everything is golden. All that I’ll need to do is hope to be accepted.

Overall, pretty cool week if you were me. It’s this upcoming week I’m worried about. But I’ll get to that. Let’s get into the blog news.

Last week was another standard one with 3 posts exactly. There was a glitch that made my Smash Bros post appear to be published Friday night when I posted it yesterday afternoon, so click here if you haven’t seen it. I’m proud of what I did this week, and am also glad to be approaching another milestone. Here are my post plans.

I still have tons of shows to cover. If you don’t see the Selfie post today (which is the next show I’m covering), then it will be posted some time this week for sure. Then my remaining shows will be Once Upon a Time, Supernatural, Gotham, and Red vs Blue. I am also adding a show to be covered eventually: Scorpion. Those will be posted eventually.

I decided to hold off on commenting on Marvel and DC’s news since it’s old news by now. However, I will cover the trailer to Avengers 2 soon (I hope). I also still have a Frozen post I want to make. I’m pushing it now, but I’ll try my best to put it up.

7th Gen In-Review will be coming as well. It will be covering indie games. There will be a Sony and Microsoft related post some time in the future as well.

Lastly, I am approaching my next view count milestone. If you do not know, I make a post giving you guys a little piece of myself, usually in a Top X-number list, every time I get 100 views. My 600th View special will be posted by this week’s end. The subject matter of this post will be the first to break away from the traditional topics covered on this blog (movies, gaming, and television). Hopefully you guys will enjoy.

Now for the biggest news of this post. This is technically blog news but I vow to give you guys background into what’s going on with this site. It’s the least I can do to thank you all for your support. So this will also be part of the general life stuff.

I want to just let you guys know that this site will see less activity for a little while. The reason is because of this academic clusterf*ck (sorry, but that’s the perfect word for this situation) I have going on the next couple of weeks. Today begins an incredibly busy time for me.

You see, I’ve had this project to do in Economics that was assigned for a while and due November 14. It;s contents include a (at least) 10 page research paper, a Powerpoint presentation, and potentially a poster. All of this will revolve around an economic era, in my case the 1920’s. Now that’s all fine and good. I’ve started last week and am totally capable of writing the paper making the Powerpoint.

What caught me off guard though was my English project that was assigned recently. The contents as far as I understand now include a 3 minute video presentation, another paper, and an interview. All of this is to discuss what my future job will be. That’s also fine if it wasn’t due before the Econ project.

These 2 projects are incredibly comprehensive on their own, but together it’s a mighty big headache that will most likely take up all of my time from now until mid-November. On top of regular school tests, community service hours that need to be fulfilled for scholarships, signing up for additional scholarships, other projects including one I’m doing today for another class, regular homework, and impromptu family activities, my hands are full. So something has to give, and I am already cutting leisure activities like YouTube and gaming. All that’s left is this.

Now let me be clear. I’m not leaving altogether, nor am I dropping the blog entirely for the next couple of weeks. This isn’t exactly a hiatus. I’m just slowing down the amount of blogging I do for a small while. There will be posts up every so often like the ones I just described. However, instead of promising you guys 3 posts per week the next week or so, there won’t be an exact number.

Once I get some of this stuff off my plate and/or under control, everything on the blog goes back to normal. In fact I’ll be posting much more after November 14th since Thanksgiving will be soon after.

In a nutshell, the new posting limit per week will be 1 until further notice. Thank you for your understanding, but this is what needs to be done. I’ll let you know next week if I’m going back to 3 posts or not.

That’s pretty much it for right now. I’ll try to get the Selfie impressions up this week and the 600 View special up by next week (it may be a quick one anyway). Thank you all so much for your support. If this post seems a bit blue I apologize. I hope you all have an amazing day and an amazing week. And in case I don’t get to say it the day of, Happy Halloween to you all!

I’m SBox180. Thanks for reading!

Weekly update (10/18/14): The Measly B, Fantastic Beasts, and Whatnot

Greetings peeps! Welcome to my weekly update, where I ramble about my life and the blog plans.

How is everybody this fine day? I’m doing well myself.

The word to describe last week for me was “unbalance”, but that’s not exactly a bad thing. It was my last week of the first quarter of school. What that entailed was a first couple of days of struggling to keep my head above water academically. My final grades as of right now are 5 A’s and 1 measly B. I’m approximately 0.25% away from an A in that class. There’s still hope though. A last minute making up of points is being offered this week which may put me over the edge. If I’m successful I will have straight A’s for the first time in 3 years and the second time in my life. Hopefully that goes well.

After that, I had Wednesday off because the school was doing a test I did 2 years ago. The general rule is “if you aren’t taking it don’t come”. That was fun for what it was, but then I was unexpectedly absent on Thursday. It was basically like a weekend before the weekend. Then I went to school Friday where I did nothing. Now it’s the weekend; a 3 day weekend mind you. I feel like I’ve been on vacation more than I felt like it’s another week. That’s why I say unbalanced. Screw it though. All that time I had to myself is a breath of fresh air.

In other news My baby egg project technically ended Wednesday, but due to what I just described I turned it in Friday. Once you completed the project, you throw the egg in the trash and move on with your life. (How poetic). I also ordered my Halloween costume so that I can give out candy in style. I’ll let you know how my Sub-Zero costume turns out. I have also been sickish for the past week. (If I’m not back next week then I probably had Ebola). Oh and we have planeed our Christmas vacation this week.

And that’s my week for the most part. Now for the important part of this post: the blog news!

Standard week for post I say. I hit my standard of 3 posts, though I planned to do more. So here’s what I have in my repitiore for the future. I’ll start with movie related news. Why shouldn’t I though? Last week was a HUGE week for movie news, and I plan to comply with a post covering it.

Before I get to that, I still have a Frozen related post I will try to get to soon. My goal is to make it before the release of Big Hero 6 in November. Let’s just say it’s best that way.

While we’re on the topic of Disney, Marvel dropped something quite massive last week. I will do my best to cover something related to the news surrounding Captain America 3 and Iron Man. I’ve been meaning for the longest to talk about Avengers on this blog anyway.

On the flip-side, DC also had a good serving of announcements slightly after. I’m not quite sure what I want to do with that, but we’ll see if it comes up here sometime (no promises).

Which leads us to something else announced by Warner after their DC bombshell. I have a working draft in order to discuss the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off trilogy, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. I’ll try to get that up on Monday.

Any other movie related posts can be expected at other points of this and next week. You’ll notice a good amount of movie posts coming as I get past the TV related topics… Speaking of which.

This week will have probably 2 TV related posts as I promised weeks ago. My remaining TV show impressions are with Gotham, Selfie, Once Upon a Time, Red vs. Blue’s finale, and Supernatural. This week I’ll probably do Selfie and Once Upon a Time.

Keep in mind I probably have to make those next week because of the movie related posts. Besides, I think it’s best to wait for the fifth episode of each show.

RvB I am very late to the party for, but I might have a decent compromise. I’ll get that done as soon as I can.

And now for video game related posts. Like last week, not much is planned. But there are 2 specifics I can discuss with you.

The past couple of weeks have been discussing this whole “No Parity” thing. I initially didn’t plan to cover the parity thing, but there’s a much deeper point brought up by this issue. I’ll elaborate later. It will discuss what the graphical capabilities can mean for the 8th generation and probably the 9th generation. If anyone watches ReviewTechUSA, you may know what I’ll be talking about.

Lastly I have another installment of 7th Gen In-Review to make. I would like to announce that it will cover Indie games. expect that in the next couple of weeks.

There will be other game related content on this blog in the future. This is just what I have planned.

That’s all I have for now. Thank you all for your continued support, and welcome to any new followers I have. It’s been another great week here, and I hope you enjoy what’s coming.

Weekly Update (10/12/14): TV Shows, Dogs, and Whatnot

Greetings peeps!

What a glorious day we are having right now! I hope everyone is having a great Sunday, and I hope you all had a great week. My week was pretty good. Academically speaking, I am technically 2 % away from having straight A’s. All I have to do is kick some major butt on Tuesday with these 2 tests and try not to screw up the A’s I already have. This is the last week of the first quarter, so this is my last chance. Also, I just filled out my first college application yesterday.

As far as everything else, it’s been a pretty odd week. This week we have been dealing with my puppy going through her… um, cycle. So, Thursday we brought her to get that problem… um, fixed. It went well. To keep her from pulling apart the stitches on her… um, dorsal area, we have her wearing a neck cone. We also have her in a diaper for “I think you know why” reasons. And hilarity and difficulty ensues. We get the stitches checked in about a week, and it will all be over. In other news, I purchased my cap and gown and got a whole bunch of merchandise with it in the mail yesterday.

That’s the more interesting part of my week. Anyway, let’s talk the blog.

Last week was fairly standard in terms of production of posts. 3 posts is the usual standard for a week. This week I have a good amount planned, especially in terms of TV shows.

Last week, I made the decision to gather all of the TV shows I picked up from the past couple of weeks. That was a good idea only until I saw that one TV show was already near 1,000 characters. To give you perspective, I have 6 shows to talk about give or take a few. So it’s best to go about it individually, as planned. This works out as each show approaches the 5 episode range. So this week, expect a decent amount of TV related content. However, in order to maintain a decent pace, I will try to cover 2 shows per week.

This week, expect a Big Bang Theory post for absolute certain. Just one more revision to account for Monday’s episode, and we’ll be golden. Next I will cover the season 12 finale of Red vs Blue.

The other shows of which may or may not be covered include Once Upon a Time, Gotham, The Voice, Supernatural, and Selfie. I want to give these shows at least one more week so I can give a more detailed post for each show. The only one that could end up being pushed back further is Supernatural so that I can get 3 episodes represented. The only one that flat-out might not happen is The Voice since there’s not much to discuss. Either way, there’s plenty of TV show coverage coming.

Just to go one step further into the topic of TV shows, I have finally seen a show I’ve been curious about for a long time: Doctor Who. I started with the first season of the new series with who I believe is the 8th doctor (don’t quote me). I might talk about my experience with the show somewhere down the road, and I think I know of a way how. I’ll keep you posted.

As for movies, I have a couple plans in terms of movie related content. There’s the Frozen post that I still have as a draft. There’s a couple more Disney related things I want to do. Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers still has some news in the making. There’s a more general topic of film that I’ve been considering for a while now. That will probably be really soon. I also want to cover something related to Harry Potter. And there are several review ideas that are on movies (probably not Annabelle).

But we still have one other aspect to consider. I’m getting close to another milestone. Some of you know what that means. That means I will be making a Top “X-number” list to commemorate what will be 500 views. I believe it will be my Top 5 favorite movies. That could change because that’s a hard list to make.

As for gaming, nothing in particular is planned right now. You see, unlike the other 2 topics I cover, gaming is something I can write very impromptu. Basically, whatever happens to come up in the near future, I’ll sit down and cook something up for you guys.

However, I will promise you guys that 7th Gen In-Review will be continuing. Once I have the results of the poll found in Part 1, I will start Part 2. There is just one more topic on Super Smash Bros I want to cover before the Wii U game comes out on November 21, and that is on the potential of DLC characters. And I want to start covering a little more of Microsoft and Sony related topics since I’ve been mainly focusing on Nintendo for a while. All of this and more will be coming.

One last thing to note, The Ranting SBox will begin to have a few design changes in the coming weeks, which include a brand new logo I will be adding with a potential banner. Just a heads up.

That’s it for me. Thank you all for sticking with me through another successful week. Please don’t stop being awesome, and let me know if there’s anything I can do for you. Thank you for supporting my hobby.

I’m SBox180. Thanks for reading!

Update (9/21/14): TV Shows, A Ton of Reviews, and Whatnot

Greetings peeps!

It’s another beautiful Sunday for a weekly blog update. I’ve had a pretty decent week. I got my Senior shirt, I got the Smash Bros demo, I’m doing pretty good in school, and I have just one more day to wait for one of my favorite shows to come back on the air. I also have access to a PS4 now. My older brother just got one, and all I have to do is visit to try the thing out without going to a Best Buy or something. Other than that, pretty easy-going week, and it went a little fast, too.

This coming week is going to be rather interesting for a few reasons I’ll be working even harder to turn my B’s into A’s before the 1st quarter ends. (I’m working with 3 A’s and 3 B’s as of this week). With all the shows coming on this week, I’ll have to work that into my schedule now. Then there’s that one day off of school I have on Thursday. Such an odd place to put it since I have school again on Friday. Hopefully everything goes well on all accounts.

Now onto the blog news!

Okay, first things first I’m a realist. We have a lot of TV content coming in the next couple of weeks. Tomorrow, I will finally see that last episode of The Leftovers. I have a feeling it will come up one day on this blog, but we’ll see about that.

On more concrete news, there will be a post regarding a couple of shows coming back this Monday. The two I’m definitely doing are of The Big Bang Theory and Gotham. I hope I can watch Gotham the night of, but Gotham is one of 1 million shows coming back that night which include The Voice and Blacklist. Red vs Blue episodes are on Monday nights, too. So it’ll be battling for its time to shine. Once I see it, I’ll make a quick impressions of it.

Same with the 2 episodes of The Big Bang Theory I’m salivating for. Eventually, I plan on revisiting my original predictions post like I did with Smash Bros 4, but that will probably not be for a LONG time.

Speaking of Smash Bros 4, I got the demo on Friday. I will make a post on it for sure since I’ve been playing it for a while. Expect that sometime today or tomorrow. I decided not to make this a SBox Recommends, since it’s kind of silly to review a demo. It’ll be a Quick Thought for sure. I’ll save the review for when the games come out. I still don’t know if I’m getting both versions or just the Wii U version, so there’s that.

Now for the reviews. As you read in the title, the SBox Recommends reviews are definitely coming soon. I have a half-complete draft of my first SBR already made. On top of that, I just saw a movie yesterday in the theater. Because you guys have been so patient with this segment, I will tell you both reviews ahead of time.

The first is of the infamous movie Behaving Badly. That was an… interesting watch to say the least. I’ll be finished that movie by the middle of the week, maybe even sooner. The second movie I haven’t written down yet is on The Maze Runner. I’ll be placing notes down for it and will get to it soon as I publish the first review.

Don’t worry about me not making that first review. The only reason I would see a movie like that was to review it, and by God I refuse to have me watch that movie for nothing. Besides, I’ve been neglecting the movie section of my blog for a long time now. The reviews are the least I can do.

I unfortunately don’t have a lot of gaming content planned that I haven’t already stated last week. So just to recap, I will be starting my first 7th Gen In Review post soon. I started a draft, so expect it some time in the future. The first topic is going to be on DLC, though that’s subject to change. There is also another draft on something Nintendo related. Other than that, unless something big happens during the week, there’s not much planned.

I also want to point out that I was offered by the Opinionated Man to guest blog on his site, Harsh Reality, if I wish. This is a marvelous opportunity as his viewer base is massive. And he’s also a really nice guy. So, if you see me mention it in a post this week or next week, you’ll know what happened. I’m just looking for the correct kind of post to make on his blog. The struggle is trying to appeal to his fanbase while showing off what I do most here. Anyway, that might happen.

That is pretty much everything I have so far for the blog. I want to thank you all for your support all this time. You guys are awesome. Last week saw a big increase in followers as well. So, I welcome you if you’re new. Keep an eye out for content coming in the near future.

I’m SBox180. Thanks for reading!

Update (9/7/14): New Segment, Milestone Plans and Whatnot

Greetings peeps!

By the time I post this up, it’ll aleady be my little brother’s birthday or my older sister’s birthday. (Their birthdays are a day apart). My sister likes Disney and mainstream music. My brother likes Batman and fancy sneakers. This will be a fun couple of days to say the least. I have also solved this ongoing, internal debate that has been bugging me for the past year or so: Do I get the PS4 or Xbox One. I have now officially decided on the PS4. Why? Because Uncharted 4 and hopefully Crash Bandicoot. I’ll get a XBox One eventually, but not for another year after I get the PS4.

But now onto blog news.

I am disappointed by how little I have posted this week. All I did was the last update and the intro for my new 7th Gen segment. (I’ll get to that later). I meant to get a little more done- at least 1 other post. However, my focus this week was actually on me recovering from illness. Like I did mention in that last post, I was sick with what I think was a cold. I’m better now, because I’m a boss. I’m on the very last stages of the sickness where I can still afford to blow my nose and have that dry, constant cough. That’ll be gone by Wednesday though. I am going to try harder this week to make more posts. I’ll probably have the time.

So, this update is going to mainly talk about posts since there really is no technical stuff or schedule changes to be mentioned as of now.

First we have the new series of posts I want to try out: The 7th Gen In Review. As I said in the Intro post, I had this idea for a post rounding up everything that the 7th Generation of game consoles had to offer. What I found was that the article would probably hit over 1500 words. My most preferred method was to make separate posts discussing it.

I’m not sure if I explained it well before, but each post in the series is basically going to be me discussing all aspect of the past console generation individually. Each time I’ll discuss whether the generation will be remembered for that aspect mainly. The reason I chose to tackle this question is because there’s a lot more than usual that happened in those 8 years. I think it will be interesting to dissect it. Look for that one in the coming week.

Next, we have another milestone hitting the channel soon. And I finally decided what I’m going to do with it. For now on, for every 100 views I get I will make a post telling you guys a little more about myself. I will do that mostly through Top 10 lists, little stories, or something of the sort. I feel that it’s a good way to open myself up to you guys for supporting me all this time. It really does mean a lot to me when you guys read my work, and I hope this method will suffice.

Other than that, what else is on the agenda? I’ve been thinking about Disney a lot this week, and have some kind of post I want to make about animation in general. That’s going to be fun to write, especially since I haven’t written a movie piece in a while. I’m still have a review of something to make. I’ll also be keeping my eye on Smash Bros since we are finally on the week of release. No more speculation. I think I’ll make a comparison post between my Character Probability posts and the actual game.

I’m also thinking about discussing GamerGate… maybe. I’m not sure I should. It’s not because of fear, but I just feel there are other people who can describe the situation much better than I can, like Mundane Matt or ReviewTechUSA. I do want to in some way raise awareness, though. I don’t know. Maybe I’ll make a Quick Thought on it.

That’s all I have so far. I want to thank you all for your support and for sticking with me for so long. Hopefully this week will have a healthy number of things for you to read.

I’m SBox180. Thanks for reading!

Update (8/4/14): Gratitude, Reviews, and Whatnot (Intro to SBox Recommends)

Greetings peeps!

I have an update for you all on this fine Monday. I am thinking of making one of these updates every week including the time after August 17. The way I see it these updates don’t take very long to make and can fill in some gaps in my posting schedule. Not sure, but who knows from here. If I do there will be a less boring name for these types of posts. Maybe I can even let you all know little things here and there about myself within these updates. Just an idea, but I’ll let you know.

First order of business involves a dozen thank yous to all of those who have read any of my blog posts. Today marks 4 weeks since this blog has launched and I have already reached impressive milestones. Middle of last week I reached 50 views and today I reached 75. I thought it would take an eternity for me to reach such numbers and such attention. It’s amazing to think some site made by some nerd could get this much attention. Thank you all for your support. Please, if there is ever anything you would like me to do on this blog, let me know and I will do my best to provide that for you. I owe you all for what you do.

Speaking of which, I have noticed a pattern among those views. It occurs to me that the majority of my views don’t even come from WordPress users. A good bunch of them do come from WordPress users and I owe a bevy of thanks to people like Harsh Reality and What’s Your Tag Blog for bringing in readers out of the kindness of their hearts. I bring this up because WordPress users have the option to follow my blog and receive my posts in their subscriptions page. There currently is no function on my site to accommodate outside readers.

So this part goes out to those kind of readers. I am working on an e-mail list or something for viewers who wish to receive my content but don’t have an account with WordPress. Please stayed tuned, because this is my new priority.

Next order of business involves content. Yep, you read the title right. It’s time for me to start posting reviews. For those of you who read my about page or one of my other updates where I mentioned it, this website also serves as a source for written reviews. This is actually where some of my best work is. I’ve been writing reviews on several sites for years under the title SBox Recommends, and believe I am ready to begin again.

SBox Recommends is my review segment that I have used since 2012. It’s been on many sites over time, but the idea has always been the same. I make written reviews covering just about anything and everything, regardless of relevancy, timeliness or obscurity. While these reviews are my most prided work, they tend to be my least frequent content. That’s because I take a while writing it. I don’t claim to be a professional, but I do promise you my honest opinion with reasonable explanations. Hopefully you will all enjoy my reviews as they come to this blog.

I will confess that this was supposed to make its WordPress debut this weekend with a review of Guardians of the Galaxy. We were set to see the film but had complications involving Fandango, so we are now looking to see the movie this upcoming weekend. Once I see it, I will get straight to work on a review. I must warn you again that I tend to spend a long while on reviews, so don’t expect it too soon.

Onto some more content. I feel bad that I didn’t cover a lot of Comic-Con as promised. I do have just a couple more posts that have something to do with what was announced at Comic Con coming in the future. I particularly want to touch on The Avengers: Age of Ultron, the Family Guy/Simpsons crossover and maybe even Skull Island. There was also some interesting Big Bang Theory news I may want to cover and a Supernatural post I’ve been waiting to cover. I was hoping for more Smash Bros news to be at Comic Con, but rest assured I have some more thoughts before the game releases.

One thing I can probably promise you is that I will be watching tomorrow night’s Nintendo Direct of Hyrule Warriors (11 p.m. EST). I’m hoping to get a post going for that.

One last reminder goes for my schedule change that is closely approaching. For those unaware, I have set to make at least 3 posts per week up until August 17. From August 18 onward, I will only be making 1 to 2 posts per week in the interest of schooling. Thank you for your understanding.

So that’s all I have for now. As always, I am open to any requests, complaints, and criticism. Leave a comment here or in any of my blog posts at any time if you ever wish to discuss something with me.

Update (7/17/14): Plans, Schedule, and Whatnot

Greetings peeps!

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank anyone and everyone who read my content so far. In 4 days I have gained 6 followers and had the pleasure of talking to and meeting many interesting people. My first couple days at WordPress have been nothing but positive and it is my hope that I can extend the appreciation I have to you in whatever way I can. Hopefully giving you some good content to read can be a good place to start.

With that said, because this is a developing blog I am still in the experimentation process. I apologize if there isn’t much consistency in the next week or so, but I’m still trying to get into a groove with things. However, I have been coming up with a plan of action and a means of scheduling that will make up the blog a source of regular and consistent content.

First I want to discuss the schedule. This was the aspect I struggled the most with deciding. You see, this isn’t my first blog. I had it running for 2 months until I abandoned it due to real-life conflict. I intend for this not to happen again so I developed a schedule I can work around.

Between July 21 and August 17 of this year, there will be 1 (maybe 2) post per day. There will be some exceptions to the rule because life may very well get the best of me, but I will do my best to keep that schedule. August 18 and beyond will see a different schedule pattern. The site will switch to at least 1 post per week. The reason for this change is due to schooling in my area beginning at that time.

For the remainder of time before July 21, content frequency will be random because of an outing this weekend.

Speaking of content, some of you may not know what I will cover on this blog. I basically cover gaming, television, film, and other assorted means of entertainment. This ranges from editorials to reviews, to news coverage. I do take requests on topics to discuss, so be free to ask.

To give you an idea, as a form of gratitude to you all for being reading my work, here are some of the upcoming content I will cover at one point or another:

  • Analysis: The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie reboot
  • Should there be Friends reunion?
  • Big Bang Theory Season 8 Predictions
  • Supernatural Season 10 Predictions
  • Rant: Games Left in Limbo
  • How to Bring Crash Bandicoot to the Next-Gen
  • Analysis: Ready Player One movie

These are ideas I have for the coming weeks or months. Hopefully this gives you an idea of what this blog will cover.

That’s all I have for now. Once again, thank you for everything guys! Please let me know if you have any questions or requests for me.
