It’s time for another Nintendo Direct. It’s been quite some time since the last Direct and quite some time since we had any Nintendo news that wasn’t NX rumors and speculation. In this Direct, which many consider a bit of a let-down, we basically got a roundup of Wii U and 3DS games coming in the first half and even end of 2016. I personally liked the presentation even though there wasn’t too many big announcements. But what they did announce was enough to hold me over until their undoubtedly huge show at E3. This week is E3 week- the annual event where miraculous gaming announcements practically reign from the heavens for our viewing pleasure. Need I say more? Nope, I’d rather just start talking impressions on what was shown.
This time, we enter Day 2 with the last console manufacturer’s conference, Nintendo- who like always is being hipster by making a Nintendo Direct. Every year, the job of the game industry is to try and top the previous year in game releases. So far 2015 seems to be holding up that standard. Since E3 2014, we’ve been promised an excellent new year with game releases we’ve been clamoring for for a while, or ambitious new IPs to spice things up.
