Every year, including this one, my most anticipated film is always a Marvel film. Lord knows my family and I were super pumped for Avengers 2 considering Marvel’s cinematic winning streak since 2008. We couldn’t wait for this film. We even assigned each other Marvel character T-shirts for the occasion of watching the movie opening weekend. (I wore the Ultron short). Probably my most anticipated film of 2016, Captain America: Civil War just keeps looking better and better. As an avid Marvel movie fan, I am always looking forward to the next big Marvel outing. This is especially true in this case as everything is clearly starting to turn ugly in the MCU. You know things are going down when everyone, and I mean everyone, is coming to kick ass and take names. And that’s solidified with this final trailer for Civil War. Yesterday morning I was searching my phone during second period and saw the news I thought would never come. At long last Sony and Disney have made the deal of the year: Spider-Man will be added to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I’m going to just place all other posting plans aside for now so I can focus on this one post. I’ve been saying I was going to post something on the subject since around August. I’ve yet to do so as you can see. Since then we’ve entered a speculation period prompted by the infamous Sony hack of 2014, where we learned that talks between Marvel and Sony have existed and continue to. Now that the information is official, it’s now or never to bring this up; and that’s what I’m going to do finally.
