My 2015 Movies: The Hunger Games – Mockingjay Part 2 (#19)

The Hunger Games is a great film franchise with an excellent story, great acting and gritty tone. I can see how this became the go-to book adaptation after Harry Potter and Twilight ended, and that remains impressive considering how much competition arose in recent years. Though, Hunger Games made one drastic mistake: it split that last book into two parts. The result was a good and well-written story in Mockingjay represented by two okay movies. My 2014 Movies: X-Men Days of Future Past (#9)

Marvel has been hitting their films out of the park in recent years. That’s why I have no guilt with placing every single Marvel outing from 2014 into the top 10 of this countdown. Let’s begin with one of the few franchises that are no part of the MCU as of right now. While it can be said that the X-Men franchise has had a rockier road compared to other Marvel franchises, I’m glad to say that this is probably the best X-Men film ever made.
